SOUTHEASTERN MONROE AND NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO COUNTIES... At 120 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Avon, or 9 miles northeast of Geneseo, moving east at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Canandaigua, Avon, Victor, Honeoye Falls, Bristol, Lima, Bloomfield, Farmington, Mendon and East Bloomfield. This includes the following highways... Interstate 390 between exits 8 and 11. Interstate 90 between exits 45 and 44. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
