THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* LOCATIONS...Chautauqua County, all of the Niagara Frontier, 
  and Monroe County.

* TIMING...From late Wednesday morning through late Wednesday 
  evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may result in downed trees and power 
  lines, scattered power outages, and property damage. Travel in 
  high profile vehicles will be difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means that the potential exists for strong
damaging winds to develop. These strong winds could bring down
trees and power lines as well as cause property damage. If a high
wind warning is issued...stay inside...and away from windows. Be
prepared for trees blocking roadways and power outages. Stay

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 10 PM EST WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM to 10 PM EST Wednesday. The
High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* LOCATIONS...Chautauqua County, all of the Niagara Frontier, 
  and Monroe County.

* TIMING...From late Wednesday morning through late Wednesday 
  evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may result in downed trees and power 
  lines, scattered power outages, and property damage. Travel in 
  high profile vehicles will also be difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are
expected for at least an hour...with gusts of 58 mph or greater
at any time. Damage to trees...power lines...and property are
possible with wind of this magnitude. If you have a high profile
vehicles be extra careful until the wind subsides. Stay tuned to

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON WEDNESDAY TO 1 AM EST
THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from noon Wednesday to 1 AM EST
Thursday.

* LOCATIONS...Cattaraugus and Allegany counties, much of the
  Finger Lakes Region, and the eastern Lake Ontario region.

* TIMING...From late Wednesday morning through overnight 
  Wednesday night.

* WINDS...West 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may result in downed tree limbs and power
  lines, isolated power outages, and property damage. Travel in
  high profile vehicles will also be difficult at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be
31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of
these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra
precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use
caution until the winds subside. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio
