AND SOUTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES...
At 1247 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
from one and a half to two and half inches of rain has fallen in the
warning area tonight. Additional showers and thunderstorms producing
locally heavy rainfall will move into warned area over the next few
hours and may produce additional rainfall in excess of 1 inch. This
will lead to continued rapid rises on area streams and creeks and
localized areas flash flooding are expected into the overnight hours.

The heavy rain threat is slowly coming to an end along with the
threat of imminent flash flooding. However, many streams and smaller
rivers will continue to experience sharp rises from prior rainfall
and areas of high water is still a concern overnight. Please
continue to heed any remaining road closures and if encountering
flooded roadways, turn around, don't drown.
