* At 522 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall crossing
thru the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly,
with significant urban and poor drainage flooding. Some roads may
become impassable for a period of time. In addition, some streams
may quickly rise to near bankfull levels. Up to 2 inches of
rainfall is possible within an hour.

COUNTIES...
At 607 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest rainfall
was moving east of Brockton, Bridgewater and Middleboro. However,
areas of light to moderate rainfall continued across the warning
area from eastern Rhode Island into southeast Massachusetts.
Due to the recent heavy rains and continued light to moderate rain,
areas of significant urban and poor drainage flooding remain likely
in the warning area. In addition, some quick responding small
streams may crest near bankfull levels.

Pawtucket, Taunton, Weymouth, East Providence, Woonsocket, Braintree,

PROVIDENCE AND BRISTOL COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 730 PM EDT...
The area of moderate to heavy rainfall that affected Rhode Island
and southeast Massachusetts earlier this evening, has moved well
east of the area. Light to moderate rain may still fall this
evening. However the threat for more widespread moderate to heavy
rainfall has abated. Any lingering poor drainage flooding is
expected to gradually recede. Thus the Flash Flood Warning is being
allowed to expire.
Please continue to heed any remaining road closures.
