  inch per hour snowfall rates possible at times through Tuesday
  afternoon. The heavy snow will taper off to snow showers 
  Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow, poor visibility and strong winds will make
  for extremely hazardous travel and many roads may become
  impassable. Strong winds will bring the potential for blizzard
  conditions and near white- out conditions at times. Considerable

  will also bring the risk for scattered tree damage and power

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches, along with
  a trace of ice.

* TIMING...Snow begins between 5 and 7 am Tuesday morning. The
  snow will quickly become heavy with 2 to 4 inch per hour
  snowfall rates possible at times through mid day. Snow could
  change to sleet and rain during the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and 
  may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the 
  snow on tree limbs and power lines.

  snowfall rates possible at times through late Tuesday morning.
  Snow could change to sleet but will then change to rain during
  the afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for heavy wet snow and sleet, which is in effect
from 5 AM to 2 PM EDT Tuesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no 
longer in effect.

* LOCATIONS...Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Block Island.

* HAZARD TYPES...Heavy wet snow.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches, along with a
  trace of ice.

* TIMING...Snow develops after 7 am Tuesday morning and may fall
  briefly heavy at times, before changing to sleet briefly, then
  rain late in the morning or by mid day.

* IMPACTS...The heavy wet snow may create snow covered roads and
  produce scattered power outages due to laden trees. Strong 
winds will lead to blowing snow, reduced visibility, and 
additional power outages. 

* WINDS...East 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...One half mile or less at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
