The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a High Wind Warning, which is in effect until 11 AM MST this morning. * TIMING...West winds will increase through the night and continue through the morning hours. winds will decrease during the afternoon. * WINDS...West winds will increase to 30 to 40 mph and gusts up to 75 mph. * IMPACTS...Strong and gusty winds may cause damage to trees and power lines and disrupt power. Drivers of lightweight and high profile vehicles should be aware of strong crosswinds and consider delaying travel until winds have decreased. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 75 mph or more can lead to property damage. && $$
