The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Marion County in northwestern Alabama...
  Northwestern Fayette County in west central Alabama...
  East central Lamar County in west central Alabama...

* Until 100 PM CDT
    
* At 1219 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located near Blooming Grove, or 7 miles southeast of
  Sulligent, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* Locations impacted include...
  Hamilton, Winfield, Guin, Brilliant, Beaverton, Gu-
  Win, Brinn, Lake Buttahatchee, Twin, Tucker, Wayside, Pearces Mill,
  Piney Grove and Pikeville.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.  However
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for northwestern
and west central Alabama.
