  East central Jefferson County in Alabama...

* Until 530 PM CDT

* At 233 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain 
  have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Gardendale,
  Irondale, Leeds, Fultondale, Center Point, Pinson, Tarrant, Ketona
  Lakes, Chalkville, Kingston, Alton, Grayson Valley, Barber
  Motorsports Park, Shops Of Grand River, Birmingham Airport and
  Birmingham Race Course.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
