AND BLOWING SNOW POSSIBLE ACROSS WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA
LATE SUNDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY...

.A wintry mix of light freezing rain, sleet and snow will develop
across western and north central North Dakota late tonight and
early Monday morning, changing over to all snow through the day
Monday. Precipitation should begin as rain along and east of a
line from Bottineau to Bismarck Monday morning, with the wintry
mix developing Monday afternoon and changing over to all snow by
Monday evening.

Total snowfall amounts of between 3 and 8 inches are possible
from Bottineau and Rolette counties south to McHenry and Pierce
counties. Snow amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible mainly north
of highway 200, with lesser amounts to the south.

In addition to the mixed precipitation and snowfall, strong
northwest winds of around 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are
expected to develop on Monday, and continue into Monday evening.
Reduced visibility in blowing snow is expected mainly across
north central North Dakota Monday afternoon and continue Monday
night. It is possible that near blizzard conditions may develop
in the Turtle Mountains and surrounding areas. Strong winds
should develop again on Tuesday.

Those with travel plans Monday and Tuesday are reminded to keep a

.A wintry mix of light freezing rain, sleet and snow will develop
across western and north central North Dakota late tonight and
early Monday morning, changing over to all snow through the day 
Monday. The precipitation will begin as rain along and east of a 
line from Bottineau to Bismarck Monday morning, with the wintry 
mix developing Monday afternoon and changing over to all snow by 
Monday evening.

Total snowfall amounts of between 3 and 8 inches are possible
from Bottineau and Rolette counties south to McHenry and Pierce
counties. Snow amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible mainly north
of highway 200, with lesser amounts to the south.

Strong northwest winds of 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are 
expected to develop on Monday, and continue into Monday evening. 
Reduced visibility in blowing snow will develop across north 
central North Dakota Monday afternoon and continue Monday night. 
Near blizzard conditions may develop in the Turtle Mountains and 
surrounding areas. Strong winds should develop again on Tuesday.

...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS DEVELOPING TODAY OVER MUCH OF NORTHWESTERN
AND NORTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA...

.Snow will develop across western North Dakota this morning,
spreading into central North Dakota through the afternoon. A brief
period of a wintry mix is possible as precipitation begins. Northwest
winds will also significantly increase through the day. The 
combination of northwest wind gusts to 55 mph and heavy snow will
create blizzard conditions across much of north central and 
portions of northwest North Dakota this afternoon through tonight.
This includes the Bowbells, Stanley, Mohall, Minot, Bottineau, 
Towner, Belcourt and Rugby areas. 

While strong winds are expected across the remainder of western
and central North Dakota, lesser snowfall amounts and duration 
will limit the period of the worst conditions. 

Total snowfall amounts of between 4 and 8 inches are possible 
mainly along and north of US Highway 2. Snow amounts of 1 to 3 
inches are forecast to the south.
