The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Buffalo County in west central Wisconsin...
  Southern Trempealeau County in west central Wisconsin...

* Until 230 AM CDT

* At 1136 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Arcadia, Wabasha, Alma, Galesville, Dodge, Ettrick, Waumandee,
  Nelson, Montana, Camp Decorah, Cream, Highway 88 And County O,
  Tamarack, Highway 95 And County G, Highway 95 And County C, Herold,
  Highways 37 And 35, Marshland, Thimble Park and Peacock Hill.

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and
other loose materials.

Additional rainfall amounts of around 1/2 inch are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Never attempt to cross a flooded roadway.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT FOR
CENTRAL BUFFALO AND SOUTHERN TREMPEALEAU COUNTIES...

At 1232 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported several roads under 
water along with some mudslides and rockslides. Up to 3 inches of 
rain have fallen. Flash flooding is occurring. 

Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mud slides near
