...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM AKDT SUNDAY FOR DELTANA
AND TANANA FLATS...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Along the Richardson Highway from Jarvis Creek south.

* TIMING...Strong winds and low humidities are now occuring 
from Jarvis Creek south. The winds will continue through Sunday.
Humidities will rise above 25 percent by 10 pm tonight.
Humidities will fall back below 25% again on Sunday from 10am to 10 pm. 

* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 15 to 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...highs from 53 to 63.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be 
  possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

ALASKA RANGE...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Along the Richardson Highway from Donnelly Dome north.

* TIMING...Strong winds and low humidities are now occuring 
from Donnelly Dome north. The winds will continue through Sunday.
Humidities will rise above 25 percent by 10 pm tonight. 
Humidities will fall back below 25% again on Sunday from 10am to 10 pm. 

* WINDS...South to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 15 to 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs from 55 to 60.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be 
  possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...The Red Flag Warning for Sunday Remains in Affect...

.Strong south winds along the Richardson Highway between 
Donnelly Dome and Jarvis Creek are now beginning to 
decrease. Red Flag conditions have ended for today. 
Red Flag conditions are expected to resume in this same area 
Sunday at 10 am and continue through 10 pm Sunday.
Red Flag conditions are not forecast west of the Delta River.

DELTANA AND TANANA FLATS...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM AKDT Sunday.

* AFFECTED AREA...Along the Richardson Highway from Jarvis Creek 
  south. Red Flag conditions are not forecast west of the 
  Delta River.

* TIMING...Strong winds have decreased slightly at 530 pm today 
  and Red Flag conditions have ended. Low humidities continue 
  this afternoon but will rise above 25% by 10 pm tonight. 
  The winds are expected to pick up again on Sunday with 
  humidities falling Sunday morning. Red Flag conditions are 
  expected Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm.

* WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...58 to 63. 

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be 
  possible.
