...STRONG PACIFIC TROUGH APPROACHES FROM THE WEST...

.A strong Pacific trough will approach the state from the west.
Stronger winds aloft will mix down to the surface and combine 
with a strengthening pressure gradient near the surface. The
strongest winds will impact the Interstate 25 corridor between Las
Vegas to the Raton Port of Entry this afternoon through early
evening.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM MDT
THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT
this evening. 

* LOCATION...Interstate 25 corridor between Las Vegas to the Raton
  Port of Entry. 

* WINDS...Southerly 27 to 33 mph with gusts to 45 mph. 

* TIMING...Between 2 pm to 9 pm MDT today. 

* VISIBILITY...none expected. 

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Local west to east orientated county roads and
  highways will be impacted the most by cross winds. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should exercise caution while travelling. Sudden gusts
of wind may cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Extra
attention should be given to cross winds.
