The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Lincoln County in central New Mexico...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 606 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Encinoso, or 18 miles east of Carrizozo, moving
  southwest at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. 

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely. 

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  central Lincoln County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

SOUTHWESTERN LINCOLN COUNTY...
    
At 616 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Smokey Bear Historical Park, or 17 miles east of
Carrizozo, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. 

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.
