Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...
* Until 1015 PM MDT.
* At 816 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area, specifically within the Corazon
Creek, leading down into the Conchas River. Up to two inches of
rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Variadero and Trementina, specifically along NM104, and NM419.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flash flooding.
Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.

leading down into the Conchas River. Flash flooding is expected to
continue.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Variadero and Trementina, specifically along NM104 and NM419 at
