...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPOKANE HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT FRIDAY.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL BE THEIR STRONGEST THROUGH MIDNIGHT AND THEN
  VERY SLOWLY LOWER THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS ON FRIDAY.

* IMPACTS...VERY CHOPPY WATER ON AREA LAKES AS WELL AS SMALL
  BRANCHES AND LIMBS BREAKING OFF TREES. WE HAVE HAD REPORTS OF
  FRUIT FALLING OFF TREES AND FLOWER BEDS BEING LAID DOWN BY THE
  WIND. POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE AS WELL.

* LOCATIONS...THE PURCELL TRENCH/HIGHWAY 95 CORRIDOR WILL
  EXPERIENCE THE BIGGEST IMPACT. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED.
WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR
HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
