CURRENT RISK...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
EVENING.

* TIMING...THE RISK OF DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE INCREASING
  AS THE DAY PROGRESSES AND WILL PEAK DURING THE TIMES OF THE
  OUTGOING TIDE.

* IMPACTS...THERE WILL BE AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER AND INTENSITY
  OF RIP CURRENTS TODAY. A DEVELOPING NORTHEAST WIND ALONG WITH AN
  ARRIVING LONG PERIOD SWELL WILL TEND TO PILE MORE WATER ONSHORE
  AREA BEACHES WITHIN THE RUNUP. WITH REDUCED RAIN CHANCES TODAY
  ENTICING LABOR DAY BEACH-GOERS...THOSE THAT VENTURE INTO THE
  WATER AND SURF ZONE SHOULD NOT BE CAUGHT UNAWARE. ALWAYS SWIM AT
  GUARDED BEACHES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

RIP CURRENTS ARE POWERFUL CHANNELS OF WATER FLOWING QUICKLY AWAY
FROM SHORE...WHICH OCCUR MOST OFTEN AT LOW SPOTS OR BREAKS IN THE
SANDBAR AND IN THE VICINITY OF STRUCTURES SUCH AS JETTIES AND
PIERS. HEED THE ADVICE OF LIFEGUARDS...BEACH PATROL FLAGS AND
SIGNS.

SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT REMAIN CALM.
DON'T FIGHT THE CURRENT. SWIM IN A DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE
SHORELINE. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE...FACE THE SHORE AND CALL OR WAVE
FOR HELP. IF TIRED, FLOAT OR TREAD WATER UNTIL OUT OF THE RIP
CURRENT.
