...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood 
Warning for portions of the following rivers in central and southern 
Indiana...

  East Fork White River...Wabash River...

.Lowland flooding will return to portions of the East Fork White and
Wabash Rivers later this week.  Rains of of one-half to one inch is
expected in central and southern Indiana on Tuesday.  Significant
flooding is not expected.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  to rise to near 16.1 feet by Saturday evening.  The river will fall
  below flood stage by Sunday before midnight.
* At 16.0 feet...Some agricultural lands underwater.  A few rural 
  roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow 
  Slough.  High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in 
  Palestine.  A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in

  continue to rise to near 20.2 feet by Saturday morning.  The river 
  will fall below flood stage by Monday evening.
* At 20.0 feet...River is bankfull in all locations.  All oil field 
  production ceases with the exception of pumping units on 
  substructures.  Access to these are by boat only.  Agricultural 
  losses increase dramatically.  Farmers move livestock to higher 
  ground.  City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in year 
  round.

  before midnight.
* At 21.2 feet...At this level during December 2013 backwater reached 
  the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek stopped falling.  The 
  crest of the river followed 2 days later and reached 27.6 feet at 
  Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly 6 feet at the 
  tailwater of Monroe Lake.

Rain of one-half to possibly an inch in central and southern Indiana
on Tuesday will prolong flooding and cause renewed flooding. 
Significant flooding is not expected.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and

.Rain returned to central and southern Indiana on Tuesday. Rainfall 
of one half to around an inch in some locations may cause rivers to 
rise again and prolong current flooding. At this time...significant 
flooding is not expected.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go 
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and 
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river 
conditions.

  and falling steadily for the past 2 days.
