Counties
.Recent heavy rainfall has caused significant runoff into streams and
rivers which will cause flooding in some areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property.
The latest stage data was furnished in cooperation with the United
States Geological Survey.

The Ocmulgee River near Hawkinsville.
* From Wednesday afternoon until Saturday morning.
* At 845 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.2 feet...and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Wednesday afternoon and
continue to rise to near 20.7 feet by early Friday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* At 20.5 feet...Minor flooding of roads begins on the southside of
Hawkinsville...along Gooseneck Lane. With the flooding of Gooseneck
Lane...residents are cutoff from reaching their homes.

* From late this afternoon until Saturday afternoon.
* At 4AM Wednesday the stage was 16.4 feet...and rising.
* Nonflood flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and
continue to rise to near 20.7 feet by early Friday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* At 20.5 feet...Minor flooding of roads begins on the southside of
Hawkinsville...along Gooseneck Lane. With the flooding of Gooseneck
Lane...residents are cutoff from reaching their homes.

* Until this evening.
* At 5AM Wednesday the stage was 18.0 feet...and falling.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by late this
afternoon.
* At 18.0 feet...The water level begins to flood portions of the dirt
parking lot area near the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp...just
upstream and rightbank from the Georgia Highway 57 bridge. Minor
flooding continues in the woodlands near the river.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.2 feet on Feb 26 2013.
