a FLOOD WARNING in cooperation with the California Department
of Water Resources for the following rivers in California...
Russian River near Hopland affecting Mendocino County
Navarro River At Navarro affecting Mendocino County
Eel River At Fernbridge affecting Humboldt County
Van Duzen River Near Bridgeville affecting Humboldt County
A frontal system will bring moderate and heavy rain to the area today.
Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 3 to 6 inches. This will lead
to flooding due to significant and rapid rises on the area rivers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
SAFETY MESSAGE...
Do not drive your car across flooded roadways. It only takes about
two feet of water to float most vehicles. For area road conditions...

* At 8:15 AM Sunday the stage was 10.7 feet.
* Moderate FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* Flood stage is 20 feet.
* Forecast to crest near 22.5 feet late Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 22 feet...The western half of the Eel Delta may be
completely flooded, especially if at or above this level for an
extended period of time. This includes areas northwest of Loleta
and the western portion of Cannibal Island Road.

* IMPACTS...At 18 feet...Expect minor flooding of hwy 36 near
Grizzly Creek State Park and in lower portions of the state park
itself. Moderate flooding of River Bar Road in the Starvation Flats
area.

* IMPACTS...At 30 feet...Water will flow over the banks of the river
approximately 1 mile east of Highway 128, and will begin to flood
property in this area including several homes. Expect complete
closure of Highway 128.
* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.1 feet
on Dec 11 2014.
