...The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a flood advisory
for the RUSSIAN RIVER...

  RUSSIAN RIVER near Hopland affecting Mendocino County 


An atmospheric river ahead of a cold front is forecast to bring
significant rain accumulation to southern Mendocino County today through 
this evening. This system will produce rainfall amounts ranging from 2 to
4 inches and lead to a rapid rise on the Russian River.

Do not drive your car across flooded roadways. It only takes about 
two feet of water to float most vehicles. For area road conditions...

  THE RUSSIAN RIVER near Hopland.
* From late tonight to early Sunday afternoon.
* AT 1:00 PM Saturday the stage was 3.8 feet.
* FLOOD STAGE is 21 feet.
* FORECAST...The river will rise to near 15 feet Sunday morning and then
  recede down to near 9 feet by Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 15 feet...Minor flooding of cropland along the left bank
  near Hopland. Highway 175 near the Russian River possibly closed due 
  to flooding.

Rainfall across the area has become more showery. Heavier and more
widespread rains are expected to return to the area this afternoon and
evening, along with another rise in the river. However, flooding is
not anticipated.
