...The National Weather Service in Dodge City, Ks has issued a flood 
warning for the following rivers in Kansas...

  The Crooked Creek Near Englewood affecting Meade County.

. The Crooked Creek near Englewood, KS is expected to crest at 7 ft
at 1 pm Sunday, which is .5 feet above flood stage. The river is expected
to fall below flood stage by 1 am Monday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks...

Do not drive through flowing water or go around barricades.Nearly 
half of all flood fatalities are vehicle related.

* Flood Warning for 
  The Crooked Creek Near Englewood.
* from Sunday morning to Monday afternoon.
* At  9:30 PM Saturday the stage was 5.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue 
  to rise to near 7.0 feet by tomorrow early afternoon.the river will
  fall below flood stage by late Monday morning.
* * Impact...At 6.5 feet...Prepare for minor overflows along portions 
  of crooked creek in southern meade county as the creek moves out 
  onto the floodplain.
* * Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5.3 
  feet on May 16 1949.
