  Guadalupe River At Victoria affecting Victoria County

.Recent or anticipated heavy rainfall over the aforementioned 
river basins will result in river rises above flood stage 
during the next few days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary 
precautions to protect life and property. River stage forecasts

  the San Antonio River At Goliad.
* from late Monday night to Wednesday morning...or until the warning 
  is cancelled.
* At  3:00 AM Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast:  Rise above flood stage by early Tuesday morning and 
  continue to rise to near 25.5 feet by Tuesday afternoon. The 
  river is then forecast to fall below flood stage by Wednesday.
* At 25.0 feet Minor lowland flooding occurs, with water in the 
  lowest areas of goliad state park. Livestock below Goliad to the 
  Guadalupe River confluence are cut off and potentially drown.

* Forecast:  Rise above flood stage by late Tuesday morning and 
  continue to rise to near 21.3 feet by Tuesday evening. The river 
  is then forecast to fall below flood stage Wednesday.
* At 21.0 feet Minor lowland flooding occurs, as the flow exceeds the
  east bank into low areas of Riverside Park.

.Recent heavy rainfall over the San Antonio River basin will result 
in brief major flooding near Goliad.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interests along the river should monitor 
the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary 
precautions to protect life and property. River stage forecasts 
are based on observed and predicted rainfall. If actual 
rainfall varies from forecast values, forecast river stages 
will vary accordingly.

 the San Antonio River At Goliad.
* until Saturday afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  9:00 AM Thursday the stage was 34.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast:  The river will continue rising to near 35.2 feet by this
  evening. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow late 
  evening.

* At 35.0 feet Major lowland flooding occurs. Roads, many camp sites,
RV and temporary shelter sites in Goliad State Park flood. Hundreds 
of livestock downstream in the flood plain are cut off and 
potentially drown.

  the Guadalupe River Near Bloomington.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  8:00 PM Thursday the stage was 25.4 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast:  The river will continue a slow fall, remaining above
  flood stage for the next several days.
* At 26.0 feet Irrigation and oil well pumps, tank batteries, and 
equipment in the lower flood plain below Victoria flood. Livestock 
are cut off, may have to be fed by boat, and could drown. Homes 
downstream above Highway 35 on the left bank are cut off.
