  SOUTH CENTRAL CAYUGA COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK...

* UNTIL 1045 PM EST TUESDAY

* AT 438 PM EST...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED FLASH FLOODING ACROSS
  THE WARNED AREA.

WATER FROM THE OWASCO INLET IS FLOWING ACROSS STATE ROUTE 38 ON THE
SOUTH SIDE OF LOCKE...DUE TO AN ICE JAM...AND OTHER BLOCKING DEBRIS.
SEVERAL HOMES ARE BEING IMPACTED. STATE ROUTE 90 MAY ALSO BE
IMPACTED SHORTLY.  

RAPID FLOODING IS LIKELY IN THIS AREA.

TUESDAY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL CAYUGA COUNTY...

AT 629 PM EST...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND LOCAL FIRE OFFICIALS
REPORTED THAT FLOODING CONTINUED IN THE HAMLET OF LOCKE. THE HEMLOCK
CREEK IS STILL OVERFLOWING ITS BANKS, WITH WATER ACROSS ROUTE 38.
FLOODING IS ALSO IMPACTING ABOUT SIX RESIDENCES, WITH WATER INTO THE
BASEMENT OF THREE OF THESE HOMES. 

BOTH AN ICE JAM AND A FALLEN TREE INTO THE CREEK ARE THE MAIN
CULPRITS. WATER LEVELS ARE REPORTED TO BE FAIRLY STEADY AT THIS TIME.
