  CURRENTS AT VOLUSIA COUNTY BEACHES TODAY. 

* TIMING...EXPECT ROUGH SURF AND RIP CURRENTS FROM 8 AM THROUGH 8
  PM.

* LOCATION...ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST BEACHES OF VOLUSIA COUNTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
ROUGH SURF CAN OFTEN BE MUCH MORE DANGEROUS THAN IT APPEARS WHILE
STANDING ON THE BEACH. HEAVY BREAKING WAVES CAN KNOCK YOU OFF A
SANDBAR INTO DEEPER WATER...OR INTO LONGSHORE CURRENTS AND RIP
CURRENTS. THE BEST SAFETY ADVICE IS TO ONLY ENTER THE SURF NEAR A
LIFEGUARD.
