warning for the following rivers in Missouri... 

  North River at Palmyra affecting Marion County

.This Flood Warning is a result of significant snow melt over the past few days
and one to one and a quarter inches of rain forecast over the next 24 hours...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rains could cause river levels to rise even higher than 
predicted.  The National Weather Service will monitor this developing
situation and issue follow up statements as conditions or forecasts 
change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles 
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

* At  7:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 6.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast:  Rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and 
  continue to rise to near 14.0 feet by tomorrow evening. The river 
  will fall below flood stage by early Friday morning.
* Impact:  At 14.0 feet...Marion County Rd 341 north of Palmyra 
  inundated. Significant agricultural land flooding...right bank.
* Impact:  At 13.5 feet...County Road 333, east of Palmyra, begins to 
  flood.
* Impact:  At 13.0 feet...FLOOD STAGE.  Minor flooding begins.
