THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BROWN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...

* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

* AT 621 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS
  OCCURRED IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS AROUND MOUNT STERLING SINCE
  430 PM, AND THE THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY OVER THE AREA COULD
  PRODUCE ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN BEFORE THEY DISSIPATE BETWEEN
  730 AND 830 PM.  

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  BUCKHORN AND MOUNT STERLING.  

REMEMBER THAT RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE THE FLASH 
FLOOD THREAT EVEN AFTER THE RAIN COMES TO AN END.
