* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN MACOUPIN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS...

* UNTIL 130 AM CDT WEDNESDAY

* AT 718 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA.  DOPPLER RADAR WAS ESTIMATING RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO
  4 INCHES DURING THE PAST THRE HOURS JUST SOUTH OF SCOTTVILLE.
  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE THIS
  EVENING.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  CARLINVILLE...VIRDEN...GIRARD AND PALMYRA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
