  SOUTHWESTERN CASSIA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL IDAHO...

* UNTIL 1030 PM MDT

* AT 730 PM MDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH   
FLOODING ALONG GOOSE CREEK ROAD SOUTH OF OAKLEY FROM EARLIER 
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. AN ADDITIONAL 0.25 TO 0.50 INCHES OF RAIN WAS 
FALLING OVER THE OVER THE WARNED AREA AT 930 PM MDT WHICH IS 
EXPECTED TO EXACERBATE FLOODING ISSUES.

LOCATIONS NEAR THE PATH OF INCLUDE...MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF 
SOUTHWESTERN CASSIA COUNTY...SOUTH OF OAKLEY ALONG GOOSE CREEK AND 
OVER THE EMERY FIRE SCAR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
