SUFFOLK COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK...
* UNTIL 945 PM EDT...
* AT 651 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
AN AREA OF VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN 2 AND 4
INCHES PER HOUR MOVING ONTO THE SOUTH FORK OF LONG ISLAND. THIS
HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF ROADS...ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING
AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
