* FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN...
  EAST CENTRAL MORRIS COUNTY IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...

* UNTIL 1015 PM EST SATURDAY

* AT 1022 AM EST MINOR FLOODING WAS OCCURRING PORTIONS OF THE 
POMPTON RIVER INCLUDING...MIDWOOD AND RYERSON ROAD.

THE 10 AM STAGE AT MIDWOOD WAS ABOUT 7.8 FEET OR 3 TENTHS OF A FOOT 
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AND STILL RISING SLOWLY.

THE 10 AM STAGE AT RYERSON ROAD WAS 12.3 FEET AND STILL RISING. 

THE RIVER SHOULD REMAIN BELOW MODERATE FLOOD STAGE BUT IT MAY 
CONTINUE RISING SLOWLY INTO MID AFTERNOON BEFORE BEGINNING A SLOW 
RECESSION. 

MINOR FLOODING MAY CONTINUE BEYOND THE CURRENT 1015 PM SATURDAY 
EXPIRATION TIME OF THIS AREAL FLOOD WARNING. 

THIS FLOODING IS THE DELAYED SLOW RESPONSE AFTER YESTERDAYS GENERAL 
1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES IN THE AREA.  


A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

  PERSIST INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
