  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...SLIDELL...EDEN ISLE...

* UNTIL 500 PM CDT

* AT 253 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED   
  FLASH FLOODING FROM THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WARNED AREA. 

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO SLIDELL 
LACOMBE AND PEARL RIVER

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

RADAR ESTIMATES AND ACTUAL REPORTS INDICATE THAT OVER 2 INCHES OF 
RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THE WARNED AREA OVER THE LAST 45 MINUTES. 
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE 
WARNED AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
