THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE
WESTERN HALF OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE.

* EVENT...A STRONG COLD FRONT CONTINUES TO MOVE ACROSS THE TEXAS AND
  OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES EARLY THIS MORNING. STRONG WINDS OF 30 TO 40
  MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH WILL OCCUR FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS BEHIND
  THE FRONT.

* TIMING...STRONG WINDS WILL OCCUR IMMEDIATELY BEHIND A COLD FRONT
  THAT IS CURRENTLY MOVING THROUGH THE PANHANDLES. WINDS ARE EXPECTED
  TO DIMINISH BELOW ADVISORY CRITERIA BY 9 AM.

* IMPACTS...THE STRONG WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT
  ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES ON EAST WEST
  ROADS.
