* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL VERNON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 900 PM CDT.

* AT 313 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS AREAS OF 
  CENTRAL VERNON COUNTY...INCLUDING THE CITY OF NEVADA.  THESE STORMS
  ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 3 INCHES IN A SHORT
  AMOUNT OF TIME.  

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY
  SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.

THIS WARNING ESPECIALLY APPLIES TO THE CITY OF NEVADA.  
THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINFALL HAS IMPACTED NEVADA.  
THESE STORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY...CAUSING STORMS TO IMPACT THE
