* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MARIES COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  PHELPS COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT.

* AT 520 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  A CLUSTER OF SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL    
  ACROSS MARIES AND PHELPS COUNTIES.  THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO       
  REGENERATE OVER THE WARNED AREA...PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL IN 
  A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. SOME LOCATIONS COULD EXPERIENCE LOCALIZED  
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO FOUR INCHES...PARTICULARLY IN RURAL AREAS   
  NEAR THE PHELPS AND MARIES COUNTY LINE.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY
  SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.
