THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS EVENING. 

A SURFACE TROUGH OVER WESTERN ATLANTIC WATERS EXTENDING BACK INTO
CENTRAL FLORIDA WILL MOVE SOUTH TODAY THROUGH SOUTH FLORIDA. THIS
WILL ALLOW FOR DRIER AIR OVER CENTRAL FLORIDA TO WORK INTO SOUTH
FLORIDA THIS AFTERNOON...AND ALLOW FOR THE DEW POINTS TO DROP
DOWN AROUND 40 OVER THE WEST COAST METRO AREAS TO THE LOWER TO
MID 40S OVER THE WESTERN INTERIOR AREAS THIS AFTERNOON. THE
TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO WARM UP INTO THE MID 70S THIS AFTERNOON.
SO THE RELATIVE HUMIDITIES SHOULD BE ABLE TO FALL BELOW 35 PERCENT
FOR 4 HOURS OR MORE THIS AFTERNOON OVER THE WEST COAST METRO AREAS
AND THE WESTERN INTERIOR AREAS. THEREFORE...A RED FLAG WARNING HAS
BEEN ISSUED FOR THE WEST COAST METRO AREAS AND WESTERN INTERIOR
AREAS OF SOUTH FLORIDA FOR THIS AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE
FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL.
