FLAG WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR
THE COUNTIES OF KLEBERG...NUECES...SAN PATRICIO...JIM WELLS...LIVE
OAK...DUVAL...MCMULLEN...WEBB AND LASALLE.

THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES...LOWERING AFTERNOON
HUMIDITIES AND INCREASED WIND SPEEDS WILL RESULT IN RED FLAG
CONDITIONS OVER INLAND SECTIONS OF THE COASTAL COUNTIES AS WELL AS
THE INLAND RIO GRANDE PLAINS.

SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH WILL
PERSIST OVER THE COASTAL REGIONS WITH 15 TO 25 MPH WINDS OVER THE
RIO GRANDE PLAINS. THIS COMBINED WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES AT
OR BELOW 40 PERCENT OVER INLAND SECTIONS OF THE COASTAL COUNTIES
AND BELOW 30 PERCENT OVER THE RIO GRANDE PLAINS. 

A DANGEROUS FIRE THREAT WILL OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON AS A RESULT OF
THE COMBINATION OF THESE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND CRITICALLY DRY
FUELS ACROSS THE REGION. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS AND FIRE CREWS IN THE
