SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA AND INCREASE IN
INTENSITY WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR COMMON OVER
MUCH OF THE AREA.

MAIN UPPER TROUGH AND SUPPORT CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON WITH ONE SHORT WAVE EXITING BASE OF TROUGH ACROSS EASTERN
NY AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PERIOD.  21 UTC RUC AND 15 UTC SREF ARE
SIMILAR WITH THE SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN LOWEST 3 TO 5K FT
REMAINING NEARLY STATIONARY TO THE NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM SERN NY
THROUGH NWRN MA/SERN NH AND NEWD ALONG MA COASTLINE.  15 UTC SREF
FORECAST OF MEAN PRECIP AMOUNTS OVER THE AREA HAVE INCREASED FROM

FRONTOGENETICAL FORCING IN 850 TO 700 MB LEVEL WILL RESULT IN THE
HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR.  

SNOWFALL WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH IN ERN NY DURING EARLY EVENING WITH
HEAVIER SNOWFALL CONTINUING THROUGH THE END OF THE PERIOD ACROSS NH
AND SRN ME.  NEAR COASTAL SECTIONS OF SRN ME MAY SEE A MIX OF
RAIN/SNOW OR CHANGE OVER TO RAIN.
