  MONTEREY COUNTY IN WESTERN CALIFORNIA...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...SEASIDE...SALINAS...MONTEREY...

* UNTIL 415 PM PST

* AT 1222 PM PST...AUTOMATED RAINGAGES AND RADAR INDICATED VERY 
HEAVY RAIN MOVING ACROSS MONTEREY COUNTY WITH THE MOST SIGNIFICANT 
RAINFALL OVER THE LOS PADRES NATIONAL FOREST. AS THIS STRONG FRONT 
MOVES THROUGH THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING EXPECT LOCALIZED 
FLASH FLOODING. RAINFALL RATES HAVE BEEN NOTED AT ONE HALF INCH TO 
ONE INCH PER HOUR IN SOME LOCATIONS AND THIS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE 
AS THE FRONT MOVES CLOSER OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS.

SOLEDAD...  PRUNEDALE...GREENFIELD...GONZALES...DEL MONTE 
FOREST...CASTROVILLE AND CARMEL VALLEY VILLAGE.

RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLOODING OF SOME 
SMALLER CREEKS AS WELL AS ROADWAYS...UNDERPASSES AND OTHER LOW LYING 
SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER OR WATER OF 
UNKNOWN DEPTH. TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
