  NORTHWESTERN ADAMS COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...

* UNTIL 745 AM CDT

* AT 140 AM CDT...A LEVEE ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER NEAR MEYER 
  FAILED CAUSING FLASH FLOODING OF IMMEDIATELY SURROUNDING AREAS.
  AREAS OF PRIMARY CONCERN ARE FROM BEAR CREEK NORTHWARD TO HANCOCK 
  COUNTY.

NORTHWESTERN ADAMS COUNTY...

SHORTLY BEFORE 4 AM...ANOTHER LEVEE BREAK WAS REPORTED IN THE LIMA 
LEVEE NEAR MEYER.  THIS WILL ACCELERATE THE RISE IN FLOOD WATERS 
OVER NORTHWEST ADAMS COUNTY...FROM BEAR CREEK NORTH TO THE 
ADAMS/HANCOCK COUNTY LINE...AND FROM THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER EAST TO 
THE BLUFF.   

A VOLUNTARY EVACUATION ORDER WAS GIVEN FOR THE TOWN OF MEYER EARLIER 
THIS WEEK.  ANYONE REMAINING IN THIS AREA SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER 
GROUND IMMEDIATELY...DO NOT WAIT
