* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ADAIR COUNTY IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI
  MACON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
  NORTHEASTERN RANDOLPH COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
  NORTHEASTERN SULLIVAN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
  PUTNAM COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
  SOUTHWESTERN SCHUYLER COUNTY IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI

* AT 938 AM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AND COUNTY OFFICIALS 
CONTINUED TO REPORT NUMEROUS HIGHWAY AND STATE ROUTES CLOSED DUE TO 
MUCH WATER OVER THE ROADWAYS. THE ONGOING FLOODING IS A RESULT OF 
THE EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN THAT FELL FIRST THURSDAY MORNING...AND 
AGAIN THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. OBSERVATIONAL REPORTS HAVE 
CONFIRMED THE PREVIOUS ESTIMATES OF TOTAL RAINFALL SINCE THURSDAY 
MORNING...WITH A LARGE AREA OF SIX TO IN EXCESS OF EIGHT INCHES OF 
RAINFALL FROM NORTH CENTRAL INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE ROADS THAT HAVE BEEN CLOSED DUE TO 
FLOODING...ROUTE C WEST OF MYSTIC...ROUTE D D...ROUTE P P AND 
BUSINESS 36 EAST OF MACON...U.S. 24 WEST OF RANDOLPH SPRINGS. TWO 
ACRE POND AT THE KIRKSVILLE COUNTRY CLUB WAS GIVING WAY AND FLOODING 
WAS OCCURRING ON HIGHWAY 63 SOUTH OF TOWN. ALSO...PORTIONS OF THE 
CHARITON RIVER WILL CREST AT RECORD LEVELS.

A FLASH FLOODING WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE
IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF FLOOD WATERS. ONLY A FEW INCHES OF
RAPIDLY FLOWING WATER CAN QUICKLY CARRY AWAY YOUR VEHICLE. TURN
