THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WEST CENTRAL MOHAVE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ARIZONA...

* UNTIL 730 PM MST.

* AT 520 PM MST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  FLASH FLOODING FROM A THUNDERSTORM 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF GOLDEN     
  VALLEY. THE STORM WAS MOVING LITTLE. AN AUTOMATED 
  GAGE ALONG HIGHWAY 93 NORTHWEST OF KINGMAN HAS REPORTED SEVEN
  TENTH OF AN INCH IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES. 

* OTHER LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...GOLDEN VALLEY AND KINGMAN.
  WASHES IMPACTED INCLUDE THE SACRAMENTO WASH...CERBAT WASH AND
  THIRTEENMILE WASH.   

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR WEST CENTRAL MOHAVE
COUNTY...

AS QUICKLY AS THE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED BETWEEN KINGMAN AND THE 
GOLDEN VALLEY THEY HAVE DISSIPATED. AN AUTOMATED RAIN GAGE ALONG 
HIGHWAY 93 AT COYOTE PASS DID REPORT 1.09 INCHES IN AN HOUR. 
HOWEVER...THE HEAVY RAIN WAS VERY ISOLATED AND NOT WIDESPREAD ENOUGH 
TO CAUSE DANGEROUS FLASH FLOODING. THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING THAT WAS 
VALID UNTIL 730 FOR GOLDEN VALLEY AND KINGMAN HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
