EASTERN PIMA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...TUCSON...SEVEN FALLS...ORO VALLEY...
MARANA...GREEN VALLEY...
EASTERN PINAL COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...

* AT 1133 PM MST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
A LINE OF VERY HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM SAHUARITA...TO WESTERN
PORTIONS OF THE TUCSON METRO AREA...TO ORO VALLEY TO KELVIN MOVING
EAST AT 35 MPH. THIS RAINFALL WILL FALL ON TOP OF ALREADY WELL
SATURATED SOILS RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING. AN AREA OF MODERATE
RAINFALL BEHIND THIS LINE OF STORMS WILL PERSIST FOR AN HOUR TO TWO
RESULTING IN ADDITIONAL EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW
LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
