THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL PIMA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...TUCSON...ORO VALLEY...

* UNTIL 630 PM MST

* AT 323 PM MST...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS INDICATE EXTENSIVE 
FLOODING ACROSS MUCH OF THE CITY OF TUCSON. OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN 
FELL IN AN AREA FROM DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE TO SOUTH TUCSON.  
MUCH OF MIDTOWN TUCSON HAS SEEN OVER ONE INCH OF RAINFALL.  
FORTUNATELY...RAINFALL HAS MOSTLY TAPERED OFF ACROSS THE CITY OF 
TUCSON. AUTOMATED STREAM GAGES FROM PIMA COUNTY INDICATE EXTENSIVE 
FLOW IN THE ARCADIA WASH AND RODEO WASH.  PERSONS AND VEHICLES 
SHOULD STAY CLEAR FROM THESE WASHES AS WELL AS OTHER WASHES AND LOW 
WATER CROSSINGS IN THE CITY OF TUCSON.  IN ADDITION TO THE URBAN 
FLOODING... FLOW CONTINUES ALONG SABINO CREEK AND RISES ARE EXPECTED 
ON THE CDO WASH FROM EARLIER RAINFALL.  DUE TO OUR SATURATED 
SOILS...THESE FLOWS WILL EASILY CONTINUE THEIR WAY DOWNSTREAM INTO 
THE RILLITO RIVER AND THE SANTA CRUZ RIVER.  

THIS WARNING EXTENDS THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT.
