...STRONG GUSTY SOUTHEAST WINDS THIS EVENING...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH THE TENNESSEE
VALLEY THIS EVENING. SOUTHEAST WINDS AROUND THE LOW WILL PASS OVER
THE MOUNTAINS OF FAR SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA. LIKE WATER SPILLING
OVER A DAM...THE WIND PASSING OVER THE MOUNTAINS WILL RESULT IN
STRONG SOUTHEASTERLY WIND GUSTS ALONG AND WEST OF THE HIGHER
MOUNTAIN TERRAIN.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT. 

WIND GUSTS OF AROUND 50 MILES AN HOUR HAVE BEEN REPORTED ACROSS
TAZEWELL COUNTY. GUSTY WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL CONTINUE THIS
EVENING...POSSIBLY RESULTING IN MINOR WIND DAMAGE WITH SMALL LIMBS
BEING BLOWN OFF OF TREES. 

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 31 TO 39 MPH ARE
POSSIBLE WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 57 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE
DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE
