WILL CONTINUE TO USHER IN A DRY AIRMASS INTO THE AREA THIS MORNING.
AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE LOWER 50S ACROSS THE WARNED AREA
AFTER SUNRISE...RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL DROP TO BETWEEN 20
AND 30 PERCENT. THE GUSTY WINDS AND DRY AIRMASS...IN COMBINATION
WITH LOW FUEL MOISTURES...WARRANTS THE RED FLAG WARNING FOR
INTERIOR PORTIONS OF THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY...NORTHWEST PORTIONS
OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...AND WESTERN PASSAIC COUNTY IN NEW
JERSEY. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SUBSIDE EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON...LESSENING THE FIRE DANGER.
