THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE TWIN CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BLUE EARTH COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...
  WASECA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...
  STEELE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

* UNTIL 445 AM CDT

* AT 1250 AM CDT...RADAR DETECTED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
  RAIN ACROSS MUCH OF THE WARNED AREA. THE STORMS PRODUCING THE
  HEAVIEST RAIN WERE EXTENDING FROM 9 MILES NORTHEAST OF OWATONNA TO
  4 MILES NORTHEAST OF MANKATO. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY EAST 
  OVER THE SAME AREAS OF THE THREE COUNTIES. ESTIMATES FROM RADAR 
  INDICATED THAT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN DURING THE PAST 3 HOURS
  FROM NEAR WALDORF TO OWATONNA. EXPECT AN ADDTIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN 
  THROUGH 5 AM.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED INCLUDE...BLOOMING PRAIRIE...
  EAGLE LAKE...JANESVILLE...LAKE CRYSTAL...MAPLETON...MEDFORD AND
  OWATONNA.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
