THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DAWSON COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS...
  MARTIN COUNTY IN WEST TEXAS...

* UNTIL 115 AM CDT

* AT 1017 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED 
  HEAVY RAINS CONTINUING TO MOVE NORTH AT 25 MPH ACROSS MUCH OF 
  MARTIN AND DAWSON COUNTIES. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT BETWEEN 
  2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN ACROSS PORTIONS OF BOTH 
  COUNTIES THIS EVENING. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO AN 
  INCH WILL LIKELY AGGRAVATE FLOODING OVER THE WARNED AREA. 
  EXCESSIVE RUNOFF WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CREEKS AND
  STREAMS...AREA ROADS...AND LOW LYING AREAS.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO WELCH...
  PUNKIN CENTER...PRIDE...LAMESA...KEY...HANCOCK...GRANDVIEW AND
  ARVANA

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. ACT QUICKLY IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

MOST FLOODING DEATHS ARE PREVENTABLE... AND MANY OCCUR WHEN MOTORISTS
DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS. IT IS NEVER SAFE TO DRIVE ON FLOODED
