* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  REAL COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...

* UNTIL 1000 PM CDT

* AT 656 PM CDT...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS DETERMINED THAT
  RAINFALL ESTIMATES FROM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATE FLASH FLOODING FROM
  A THUNDERSTORM OVER REAL COUNTY...OR ABOUT 14 MILES NORTHWEST OF   
  LEAKEY...MOVING WEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

* THE STORM PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING WILL AFFECT AREAS ALONG THE FRIO
  AND NUECES RIVERS GENERALLY UPSTREAM FROM BARKSDALE AND LEAKEY. UP 
  TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED WHICH WILL CREATE DANGEROUS 
  RECREATIONAL CONDITIONS ON THE RIVERS AND RESULT IN FLOODING OF
  LOW WATER CROSSINGS ALONG FM ROADS 335 AND 336.

DO NOT DRIVE WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. TWO FEET OF RUSHING WATER 
CAN CARRY AWAY MOST VEHICLES...INCLUDING SUVS AND PICKUPS. TURN

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM CDT FOR REAL
COUNTY...

AT 754 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS CONTINUED TO 
DETECT HEAVY RAINS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING. THE STORMS 
WERE LOCATED OVER NEAR BARKSDALE...MOVING SOUTHWEST AT 15 MPH.

DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES SUGGEST THAT UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS 
EMPTIED INTO THE NUECES AND FRIO RIVERS AS WELL AS THEIR TRIBUTARIES 
NORTH OF BARKSDALE AND LEAKEY. ENOUGH RAIN MAY HAVE FALLEN TO 
PRODUCE A RIVER RISE THAT COULD BECOME DANGEROUS TO RECREATIONAL 
INTERESTS. LOW WATER CROSSINGS...ESPECIALLY THOSE ALONG FM ROADS 335 
AND 336 COULD BECOME FLOODED AND IMPASSABLE THROUGH 10 PM THIS 
EVENING.
