THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A HIGH
SURF ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON.

REPORTS FROM ALONG THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NEW JERSEY COASTLINE
INDICATE THAT BREAKING WAVES WERE STILL RUNNING AS HIGH AS 8 FEET
THIS MORNING. WATER TEMPERATURES ARE STILL IN THE LOWER 70S, AND
MANY BEACHES ARE NOW UNGUARDED. PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID THE SURF UNTIL
THE WAVES SUBSIDE, WHICH IS EXPECTED TO HAPPEN LATER THIS
AFTERNOON.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA, PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION.

FLOODING FROM LATE THIS EVENING UNTIL THE PREDAWN HOURS OF
THURSDAY. HIGH TIDE ALONG THE UPPER CHESAPEAKE BAY OCCURS FROM
AROUND 1030 PM EDT TONIGHT ALONG THE TALBOT COUNTY SHORELINE TO
AROUND 300 AM EDT EARLY THURSDAY MORNING ALONG CECIL COUNTY.
