THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH KENTUCKY HAS ISSUED A
* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
CALLOWAY COUNTY IN WESTERN KENTUCKY.
* UNTIL 915 PM CDT
* AT 618 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH
FLOODING FROM PERSISTENT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS
OF THE COUNTY. SIGNIFICANT FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED ALONG HIGHWAY
280 AND NEAR HIGHWAY 94 EAST OF MURRAY. OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT
WATER WAS STILL RISING...AND WATER WAS OVER THE ROADS.
ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS CERTAINLY POSSIBLE THROUGH 900 PM AS
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PERSIST.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
